Sunday, 30 August 2026: FRC Spring Walk #3

By the end of August, we expect to see a number of our special Peacock Morea flowering.

Again we wait to see how well the Morea aristata has survide the lastest fire, on 28 December 2025.

In 2022 we were thrilled to find that these new (to the Common) residents had survived the fierce fires of January and February 2021. There was another fire that burnt the Morea aristata patch at end of February 2024, these hardy geophytes popped up again to delight us. What will we see this season?

Friends of Rondebsoch Common warmly invite you to join our series of flower rambles.
We meet on the grass lawn (Campground Road) at 11:30 and walks last up to 90 minutes.

Remember: The Common can be rather windy, chilly and wet, so do bring a warm top and wear water-friendly shoes like wellies.
Expect the walks to take place even if there is a bit of rain. The latest info and any updates will be posted our Facebook group.
